Ants in the House

Ants in the House

Having been on vacation for a few weeks, we came home to an army of ants marching in a straight line from the Agave Bottle  (in the cabinet) beside the sink straight to the pantry across the kitchen. They weren’t interested in us but were definitely excited about their discovery of a full bag of Rice Rollers that were (accidentally) left open.

At first, they were moving in a zig-zag formation with some circling, basically covering every square inch in the kitchen, doing their diligence in the quest for crumbs to take back to their Queen. The discovery had been made (Rice Rollers), and the rest of the army was called in to claim the prize.

In watching this amazing teamwork, I couldn’t help but be impressed by the cooperation towards a common goal, their adaptability when I moved the Rice Rollers, and the quick communication when the “prize” was removed. Their cooperation, rather than competition, when a few last crumbs were left (just because I was hyper impressed with the line of ants). Honestly, I hadn’t seen anything like this before. I obviously let the show go on longer than I should just to watch them march across the floor in front of me.

My husband showed up and was shocked that I was still watching and not smacking, err, he meant taking action regarding their removal.

To be honest, I didn’t want to disrupt this well-oiled machine. All these little fellas marching across the kitchen, it really was a sight to see. This was California, and being a slab home, I doubted I could get rid of them that easily now that they had found an entry point. There were a LOT of them. I do like the Animal Kingdom (which the insects are part of); they are sentient beings after all. So, I decided to use my telepathic/psychic abilities and “tune in”.

The energy that came to me was hurried, busy, a feeling of not now -we are busy.  There was the noise that you can imagine they would make in their tiny world; it was a buzzing noise. I had to break through by being rather loud and insistent. I used fewer words to get their attention…this time I said “Hey!” I need you to listen, please, just stop for a moment.

The buzzing stopped, the ants stopped moving fast, but many stayed in a small space and kept moving around as if mining for smaller treasures in a circle where they were. I heard back from what I can only term as a Universal voice; it was loud, further away, and almost not impressed by the interruption. This was serious business! I asked if they could please leave my kitchen, move out of the house to the yard where they belonged, and they should do it now. I have removed the rice roller they were after, and it was now time to leave. They began to move again! As if, perhaps leaving? But several were heading under the fridge, and I was not picking up that they were leaving. So I asked again, and heard We are busy, and communication stopped.

I was annoyed! Geez! So I thought about it for a while, as my husband suggested a can of “you know what”.  I asked for a bit more time and suggested that if we were really going to get them out, I’d rather use a vacuum cleaner and empty the bag in a field somewhere.

I did a few chores and came back. I tuned in again, “Hey Ants, please listen to me! Your life and the life of the colony are at stake here. The buzzing stopped, and the ants appeared to stand down. I said, This is my last attempt to ask YOU to leave on your own. I will give you 1 hour to vacate my home. Or I will have to take drastic measures that will not be good for your colony. Am I being clear? And do NOT come back, or I won’t give you notice. I heard “yes”. Then nothing more. They started going in circles, and following each other, and within 20 minutes, they marched out through the cupboard and were gone. (for good).

My husband opened that cupboard and used silicone along the back wall and under the sink.

We were never bothered by the ants again.

I was so curious about this conversation and how the ants work, I mean, whose voice was I speaking to?

I opened the Akashic Records with my questions and discovered that there is one overlighting Energy, and the ants are tiny manifestations of a Group Mind.

They are also seen as messengers, with their presence indicating a need for more structured community support or focused, intentional action to achieve goals.

It reminded me of life and how we can zig-zag all over the place searching for that elusive “crumb”.  I was inspired by the spirit of the Ants and how we can seek out the “crumbs to discover the bread”. The impressive part was how quickly and efficiently they worked. The teamwork was admirable.
