With Love from Oscar & Lyla Pt 1
With love from Oscar & Lyla
February the month of 2 is about partnership, whether it is business, family, or love life. This is my opportunity to share my experiences with you, partner! Our friendship albeit through the internet is something that is dear to me.
I love Symbolism and am always searching for the hidden meaning. It’s fascinating that February has a celebration smack dab in the middle on the 14th giving balance (more 2’s) to an already short month?
The celebration is one of love, a possible partnership, sharing sweet sentiments, giving heart shaped objects and roses the flower with the highest vibration, the vibration of Love.
I had an incredible and loving gift given to me in the month of February, one that changed me forever. Even the thought of writing it causes me to tear up (happy) tears to 2 beautiful sentient beings that touched my soul and gently made their way into my heart.
It was January when we had noticed an orange tabby hanging around our yard, sitting just far enough away for us to see each other. Turns out he was a runaway and didn’t want to live in a house. His work was to be outdoors on his terms. In chatting with him I discovered his name was Oscar.
Eventually Oscar became a daily visitor never missing a meal. In one conversation he intimated that he didn’t mind eating dog food, clearly picking up on a discussion whether eating dog food was actually good for him.
Fast forward to February when I was alerted to “activity at the front door”. I walked over to the camera to see something orange laying by the front rug. On closer examination (with reading glasses on) I saw it was Oscar sitting beside a gray cat who was lounging on the door mat. The energy from the 2 of them felt loving, it looked loving – they were clearly enjoying each other’s company in the sun, sprawled out on my Valentine’s rug under a heart wreath!
That night Oscar introduced her and suggested that she wanted to be a house cat and that she would like to come inside. He was clearly looking out for her – as he assured me he wanted no part of being a pet in someone’s home.
I took a deep breathe, we have always been a “dog” family, never certain that we enjoyed the company of cats as we all seemed to be allergic to them, creating a belief system of “not liking cats”. I get that and I see that these 2 little creatures were working on me and my belief systems.
…..Story to be cont’d
These cats, these sentient beings changed me in ways that are difficult to express. I began to understand these sweet beings were my teachers and have always been my Guides. Their love was unconditional, period.
They have a different way of showing it, but doesn’t everyone?!
I now realize that the Jaguar who steadfastly stays in my heart cave is a protector and Guide, I have always had cat’s visit me wherever I stay, some even choosing to have their kittens (I dislike the connotation of litter) in my yard.
When I asked “why my yard?” my son pointed out that I had a lot of cat statues in the house “what did I expect?”
It took years but, I eventually was able to break free of my “belief that cats were just animals, and that they created allergies”. For me the allergies were a trigger so I wouldn’t forget them, even if it’s a negative response. The cats stayed in my thoughts until one day – poof……I woke to the realization that these “cats” were sentient beings and share their love unconditionally.
After years of working on me….I was finally at the right place in my life to receive their message and their Love.
What symbols have you been seeing lately?
Are you listening?
Ps. Feel free to share your symbols I love to hear your stories.
Namaste
